Children Birth-4yrs.- FREE

5yrs. and Older: $50 per person (additional kids after 2 kids $10 each)

Saturday Only (no lodging):  $25 per person  (includes meals)

Saturday and Sunday (no lodging):  $40 per person (includes meals)

Friday Night:  Dinner is not provided.  Please arrange for your dinner prior to arriving.  You may bring food to keep in your private room but outside snacks and food are not allowed in public areas.

Saturday:  Breakfast Buffet, Lunch & BBQ Dinner provided by MPVI

Sunday:  Breakfast Buffet provided by MPVI


Refrigeration for medications is available in all rooms.

Friday Night:  6-9pm -MPVI Registration Table in front of Fireplace

?       Icebreakers & Team Building Games

?       Game Night:  Bring your favorite board game and learn how to apply simple tactile adaptations using puffy paint and braille labelers. Bring your favorite adapted game to play.  Tactile coloring books and print coloring books will also be available.

?       AT Guys- Technology Troubleshooting



7:00-8:30am Breakfast- Hotel Catering


9-10:30pm Breakout Sessions

Parents are encouraged to attend which every workshop they desire!

1.       Helping Youth Build Work Skills for Job Success:  Older B/VI  Students (13-21yrs.)- MDELIO Staff

2.      Independent Living Skill Building- Younger B/VI Students (5-12 yrs.)- MDELIO                                                   

3.      Descriptive Story-writing Workshop: Siblings- Gwen & Greg Botting


11:00-12:30- LUNCH @ Gus and Us Restaurant-paid for by MPVI

1:00-5:00pm- Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village

Henry Ford Museum Tactile tours:  Rosa Parks bus, Allegheny Locomotive, Dymaxion House, and Build a Model T activity

Greenfield Village Tactile Tours: Firestone Farm House-Ryan Spencer and Farmers Market Carousel, Model T Ford rides


Dinner: 6:00-8:00pm Hotel Outdoor BBQ

Storytelling:  Siblings will share the stories that they wrote during the morning session.  Students will also be invited to join in an audience participation stories.

Mix & Mingle & Pool



7:00-9:00 Breakfast

9:00-10:00am  MPVI Finance Committee Meeting

10:00-11:00am  MPVI Membership & Board Meeting- Everyone is encouraged to attend

Dress: Casual for the entire conference.

Please Remember:  Children must be supervised by an adult at ALL TIMES.

Items to bring:

1)  Snacks for your room (Special food if allergies)-not allowed in public areas

2)  Board game to tactily adapt!  Favorite board game to play. 

3)  Swimming suit!

4) Gently used Books, toys, etc. for our VI/Braille Swap
